Our expedition begins in Islamabad, where we’ll immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture and hospitality of Pakistan before embarking on our journey to the base of Kanjut Sar. From there, we’ll trek through stunning valleys and rugged terrain, ultimately reaching the foot of the mighty peak.

Itinerary

Day 1Islamabad (500 –M)

Arrival Benazir International Airport at Islamabad & transfer to hotel, Meeting with our guide… Welcome reception(briefing) at Alpine Club of Pakistan.

Day 2Gilgit/Chilas 1200-M

Fly to Gilgit (weather permitting), or drive to chilas, hotel.

After early breakfast drive to Chilas (12-14 hrs) on KKH or via Babusar Pass

(4173m) depends on the opening around mid-June after snow during winter months). Overnight at Shangri-La Indus View hotel.

Day 3

Fly to Gilgit (weather permitting), or drive to chilas, hotel.

Day 4Shimshal

Drive to Shimshal by 4WD jeep in 5 hrs. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 5

Start trek Shimshal to chegcheg 6 to 7 hrs. 3250m 

Day 6 - Day 7 - Day 8

6: Chegcheg to joy 4to 5 hrs. 3370-m

7: Joy to charirin 4to 5 hrs. 3500-m

8: Charirin to shambi khan camp/Bc of Kanjut Sar   6to 7hrs 3700-m

Day 9kanjut sar BC

One day rest at Kanjut Sar base camp

Day 10 - Day 12 - Day 13 - Day 14 - Day 15

10: Trek down Joy to charirin 8to 5 hrs. 3500-m

12: Trek down Shimshal to chegcheg 6 to 7 hrs. 3250m 

13: Trek down Shimshal village  (7-8 hrs.)

14: Drive by jeeps to Karimabad. Overnight at Hilltop hotel.

15: Drive to Gilgit 3 to 4 hours

Day 16Islamabad/Bisham

Fly to Islamabad PK-451(Subject to weather). Upon arrival transfer to hotel.

In case of flight cancellation drive to Bisham 10 to 11 hours.

Day 17Islamabad

Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel

In case of driving, complete road journey from Chilas to Islamabad. Farewell meeting (debriefing) at Alpine Club of Pakistan. 

Day 19Islamabad

Transfer to airport for your return flight home.
